The history of Commercial and Farmers Insurance begins in 1982 when the business opened in 1982 right next to I-95 that runs from Florida to Maine. Our trucking company opened with the goal of growing the Selma area community. In the I-95 corridor, other businesses opened their doors to help spur rapid development to the area. These businesses include Carolina Pottery and Outlets, Grifolds Biotherapeutics, Sysco Food Services, and Caterpillar which employ 30,000 people in the area! Together with these businesses, Commercial and Farmers expanded beyond providing comprehensive and affordable insurance coverage for truckers to using our business to grow Selma, NC! Today we are one of the largest truck insurance companies in the state.
